By now we are all used to how Washington works. The conspiracy for world government concocts and announces an emergency. It could be military. Someone "has attacked us." It could be medical. "Millions of Americans lack health care. Or there is an epidemic." It could be a natural disaster, like a hurricane. Or, maybe it is economic or cultural. "Women routinely are abused. They earn only a fraction of a man's pay. Black people are deprived. Latinos are insulted." Et cetera and so on. Then whichever marionette the conspirators have installed in the Oval Office at the time announces an emergency "solution."
This is government by emergency. Most Americans have never experienced anything else and don't know it could be done differently. They think government by emergency is "normal." So would I, had I not lived for a few years in a couple of other countries. There, emergencies were unusual events. Most of the time, people in those countries just live.
So it was that the Battleship Maine exploded from the inside out, but Washington said it was "attacked," in Havana, thereby launching the Spanish-American War. So it was that Wilson and Churchill concocted the pretense that the British warship Lusitania, loaded with military supplies, was a "passenger liner," arranged for a German U-Boat to sink it in 1915 and used the concocted outrage to trick America into the war to make the world safe for world government, World War I.
So it was that swindler, mass murderer and traitor Franklin Roosevelt deliberately arranged the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 and the murder of some 3,000 Americans, to trick the United States into World War II and then into the Communist United Nations. See, for instance, Day of Deceit, by Robert Stinnett – a staunch admirer of Roosevelt's – who says the monster had to do it for our own good, because Americans of the time were too stupid to know it.
So it was that Soviet boss Josef Stalin ordered Communist North Korea to attack the south in 1950, while his UN delegate, Jacob Malik, boycotted the Security Council in New York to protest our refusal to admit Communist-occupied China, so that when the vote came up to send UN (American) troops to Korea to "fight Communism" for years, Washington "outsmarted" Stalin, "winning" the vote because Malik "mistakenly" wasn't there to cast a veto.
So it was that the Gulf of Tonkin "incident" that launched our full-scale invasion of Vietnam never happened, according to Admiral James Stockdale, Medal of Honor, who was there at the time, and who said nothing happened. There was no "incident." As usual, the event was concocted. Our own leaders used it as the excuse to trick us into a war they did not allow us to win.
So it was that Gulf War I happened because U.S. Ambassador April Glaspie in effect told Saddam Hussein, the man we had armed to the earlobes, that there would be no problem were he to invade Kuwait. When Saddam accepted her invitation, April disappeared into the bowels of the Department of State. And so it was that Gulf War II erupted because Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction we gave him, or because he tortured his people, or because he was a totalitarian dictator, or because.
So it was that Mike (aka Martin Luther) King said himself, in his own magazine article (Saturday Review, April 3, 1965), that violence routinely erupted in his "non-violent" demonstrations because violence was precisely what he went into the street to get, provoking the targets to respond and pressuring Congress into passing whatever legislation he wanted.
So it was that medical costs were low and the poor could get the finest medical treatment available pro bono from doctors who considered the profession a calling, but the federal government declared an "emergency," destroyed the profession, replaced it with the medical industry and introduced ruinous inflation into the medical economy by imposing Medicare and flooding it with "dollars," with the inevitable result that medical costs shot through the roof and "millions are uninsured."
Of course these are just some of the main examples; there are many more. By now you get the idea. This is government by emergency. Millions of Americans know nothing else. Question: Where did the present destruction of the Constitution come from? Which emergency inspired the cancellation of our Bill of Rights, exemplified by such outrages as the "Patriot" Acts the Congressmen were not allowed to read and know about before they voted, the cancellation of habeas corpus, the repeal of posse comitatus, the elimination of all financial privacy, etc., and soon chips under the skin, at first voluntary, then compulsory?
It was the War in Iraq, right? El presidente Jorge W. Boosh typically is using the war as the excuse. No, Pilgrim, the war in Iraq certainly has continued and intensified the process, but that is not where the present, festering horror began. It began almost forty years ago, in 1969, when Socialist conniver Richard Nixon launched the latest version of the "War on Drugs." Remember? Most people do not.
There was an "emergency." THE CHILDREN were at risk. It is always helpful when THE CHILDREN are at risk because everybody loves THE CHILDREN. Socialist Nixon, an admirer of predatory pederast and Communist hero John Maynard Keynes, came forward with the "solution." The "War on Drugs."
Big time drug smugglers "launder" money. They get "dirty" money from their pushers and deposit it in banks and other financial institutions. When it comes out the other end, it's "clean." The only way to prevent them from doing that – we were told – was to destroy all financial privacy. The only way to prevent them from doing that was to require Americans to fill out federal forms reporting to Washington almost everything they were doing with their money.

Most of the people in prison for drugs are not big time drug smugglers or even little ones. They are people who were caught with something, maybe marijuana. The "War on Drugs" has totally transformed our society. There is a modern version of the French Revolution's Reign of Terror, which not surprisingly has morphed into the present "War on Terror" inspired by Washington's destruction of the World Trade Center in New York. There could be no "War on Terror" today, even after Nine Eleven, had the "War on Drugs" not laid the foundation.
But of course, the inconvenience, even the suffering, would be worth it if we protect THE CHILDREN, right? We'll do anything for THE CHILDREN. So, has the "War on Drugs" protected them? Has it kept drugs out of our country and off our streets? To answer that question, we need to compare the situation before the drug laws to the situation now, almost forty years into the "War on Drugs."
Before the "War on Drugs," before the drug laws, there were people who used drugs. There will always be such people. There were "opium dens." There always will be. There is nothing you can do to stop them, because, for whatever destructive, suicidal reason, those people are compelled to hurt themselves. Much of the time, they wound up dead or in prison for robbery to finance their "habits."
But there was no "emergency." We are talking about a few people who will "do drugs" no matter what. By the way, for the record, I have never puffed the magic dragon even once. My drug use was confined to taking an aspirin every few years, and now I don't even do that. "Hard" drugs – heroin, cocaine, etc. – are an abomination and so are the monsters who traffic them.
So, after almost forty years of the "War on Drugs," do we have more drugs or less? We have more, right? We have much more, immeasurably more. The "War" has been an utter failure. We have lost. More of THE CHILDREN are lost. In fact, it gets worse. We have so much more drug trafficking because of the "War on Drugs."
The lesson taught by Prohibition is before us. Remember? We'll ban alcohol and people will stop drinking. What a great idea! Except that Prohibition literally created the criminal gangs that still plague us, because crime oozes where opportunity beckons, where it is most lucrative. Hasn't the "War on Drugs" done the same thing? The "difference" is that today's drug gangs come from other countries. And hasn't it created a wonderful "emergency" for the Communist world government conspiracy to justify the outrages we took a quick look at?
Ron Paul – Dr. No – has proposed that we dramatically decrease drug use by dismantling the "War on Drugs." That is the constitutional position, because the Constitution nowhere says anything even close to the subject. It's certainly none of the federal government's business. And, yes, like the phony war in Iraq, it's easier to get into these things than to get out of them. We need a judicious plan.
For instance, not only do we need to end both wars quickly; in this case, dismantling the lucrative, federal drug machine must be accompanied by an end to the glamorization of cocaine use by Hollyweird celebritoids and confrontation of recent history's biggest drug smuggling country: not Afghanistan, but Communist-occupied China, which way back in Vietnam did everything it could to "hook" American military men on heroin. I believe Dr. No is the right man for the job. In fact he is the only candidate who would do it.
